mp3 splitter for mac

    anyone know a good EASY TO USE mp3 splitter
    that will split an mp3 file by a specified time, say every 180 seconds for example

    I'd position the cursor to the time (indicated on the scale) where the split is required. Then it's just a matter of cut and paste into a new window.

    I'm looking for something similar (have a couple of mixes I'd like split down into seperate MP3s around 3 minutes long each, don't care about breaks between songs).

    I've done it with Audacity before manually but anything that'll do it automatically (which I presume is what eurotrotter wants too)?

    still cant figure out how to use any of them , in terms f splitting by time

    can someone please steps on ho wto set any of the above softwares to split a file automatically to split a file every 180seconds
    please, id realy apprecaite it,
    its one of the few functions i still cant do since i made the move form windows

    Xmp3split has a very intuitive interface. you just have to ensure that all setting are correct in the preferences, most important is segment size.
