Have any of you an interest in this fight? Haye has some serious power allied with great speed. If he beats Mormeck he could go up to Heavyweight and cause problems for most heavweights with his power. I'm not sure he has the power to trouble Klitschko but it would be a fascinating fight to see all the same.

i put a treble bet on pacquiao, pavlik and haye to all win so im waiting on haye!! i think this lad has potential to do well as a heavy as he has ability power and plenty of size, it would be interesting to see how he'd get on in the heavies..

well,....... boyles are giving 11/10 for Haye,..... you wont even get a price like that on the exchanges (betfair etc.)

Boylesports are often the bookmaker with the largest price anywhere on the net,...... but it usually turns out to be right in their favour.
whoever compiles their boxing odds has a very accurate prediction .

still, you can buy and sell that price all day long.

personally I'm going on Mormeck, as the punters will be almost exclusively brittish/Irish , and the weight of the money will be on Haye...thus resulting in a seriously good value for Mormeck.

Best o luck with your treble CowzerP.

If Haye makes the weight okay I reckon he'll have too much power for Mormeck .
Taking Bell's shots is one thing , taking Haye's is another story .

If Mormeck can make it past mid way he's in with a good shout(because he is a fantastic fighter) but I feel Haye's size and speed will allow him to land and his power will do the rest .

    Haye ko <5 rounds .

So do you make Haye a favourite then ?.... Suurely Mormeck has a somewhat better pedigree ?????
only thing is that Mormeck is quite old,... 36 or so ? does it matter all that much @ cruiserweight ?

I'd make Haye a favourite , Mormeck is a very good fighter who is pretty skilled and can mix it up when he wants but he does have some big things against him .

Age-Mormeck is in decline and is not quite the fighter he was

Stamina-this was never great , and although Mormeck mightn't need great stamina to beat Haye it is one possible way to get to him .
Haye seems to have improved his stamina but I feel if you are able to keep him working for most of the round and getting him to throw those big shots he will fade a little .

Size-Mormeck is(or at least was) a natural Light-Heavyweight , Mormeck was moved up to Cruiserweight by his promoter so that Fabrice Tiozzo could be the one to work towards the WBA Light-Heavyweight title and thus Mormeck went after and won the WBA Cruiserweight title .
I reckon Mormeck could still make the 190 lb Cruiserweight limit if that was still around .

Mormeck is under 6 foot , Haye is 6'3 , Mormeck has a 74 inch reach(I'm quoting boxrec on that and they are often wrong) , Haye has 80 1/2 inch(that one I'm fairly sure is right)

Haye has speed to match that height and reach advantage and I can just see him being able to find Mormeck with 1-2's pretty easily and I just can't see Mormeck taking them for too long .

For me Mormeck's best chance is to get inside and try and take Haye out right from the start . Mormeck has a good punch and Haye's chin is a little bit suspect , if Mormeck trys to box with Haye he will be outboxed and eventually knocked out .
