I'm sure this has been posted here before, in fact I'm almost sure the poster was me. Anyway, here's how to make an inexpensive light tent at home with a few basic materials.

What's new is I finally made mine after months of procrastination !

The results are here. Not perfect, but I know how to make 'em better (higher wattage bulb and some white balance tweaks).

I have to say, there's a real sense of achievement having made this and I'm going to have a lot of fun playing with it, and possibly even making some money on stock sites with the results !

Well done. I meant to save the link at the time but forgot to do so so thanks for posting it again. This kind of light tent is ideal for anyone selling stuff on Ebay and such sites.

Nice link thanks, do you think a black background would work in the box ?

yes I'm going to try some different coloured backdrops - like black and blue, and also maybe some different coloured light bulbs. both are interchangable easily so I'll be doing some experimenting

    Backgrounds:
The easiest are movie posters. They are large, white and texture-free.
Black or coloure ones? Yes, but can't be glossy - the light reflections would be too visible. There are lots of colour papers in good art-shops. That's what you need.
Some hints what you can do with combination of backgrounds are here.

I made one of these too and have pretty much the same stuff as you have in your flickr set. It's been sitting in the shed now for ages, though. Same issue - lack of a good lightsource
