canon 400d with this lens?

    hi learned ones,
    been offered this lens the Canon 20-35mm. i allready have the 28-105 canon lens anhd was wondering the following

    wanted to get a wide angle lens for landscapes ect.

    and when i go travelling nice for temples....

    is it a good lens am i wasting my money...

    Second-hand? That's a pretty decent price for the lens, presumably it's the newer USM model? At that price I'd be inclined to pick it up, check it out and if it's not suitable for your needs just sell it on again. A cheap and light alternative could just be the kit 18-55 lens, if you want to get that bit more into the frame.

    yea its only few months old, want a wide angle lens but the small sensor means less wideangle?

    Yep, it means you'll be getting something like a 35ish to 55ish mm lens.

    Do you have a link to the spec of the lens?

    Its not really wide angle.
    10 - 20mm is wide angle.

    You could be just throwing money away on a lens that you will
    end up replacing sooner rather than later.

    hi, thanks for help so far.... been thrawling this internet AND have found this....

    TOKINA 12-24mm does anyone have it or even rate it...
