If I'm doing a windows 2000 repair install do I need to reinstall the raid drivers or can I skip that bit? The drivers are fine and the machine in booting and loading fine, the problems are elsewhere.

Been a while since I've done this but yes I think you will need the drivers at the bluescreen setup phase. You could slipstream the drivers into your Windows CD see DriverPacks.net.
