Just a thought, we are heading up to Barrage on the 4th for a speedball day. Any airsofters fancy giving it a go......

    Costs: Entrance free
Paint: €120 per box (2000 count) Best way is to split a box between 3 or 4 people

Maybe you guys can try it before you bash it.. again

We didn't bash paintball, just paintballers disreputable bunch the lot o ye :D

€120 is a little steep for my blood right now, but someday I'll take you up on that challenge.

While I'm on the topic, have you heard anything about a new paintball place that has supposedly opened near bray?

Is €120 the standard cost for paintballs or is it just the cost at that event? That's pricey on top of an enterence fee.

He's got a point. Piantballs normally retailer at around the €10 for 100 mark. Where is this €120 for 200 coming from?

    Or do you mean 2000?

It is expensive, but that is for 2000 shots. You would get away with under 800 for speedball.

You are not actually on the toipic as such, but yes there is a new place in bray. Details:

Ya 2000 i mean. In normal places, 2000 paintballs cost you €200 quid. But €120 per box is the PaintBaller.ie deal

Now lads its not really fair to complain about the price of the paintballs, thats probably as close to whole sale prices you're going to get.

Once again... there is no entrance costs.

Average spend for your day out in the woods is €70, after about 500 shots.
Average spend on our speedball open days is €60 with 1000 shots.

I'm not really complaing about those prices, I'm just saying if thats cheap then I'd be disgusted to go on a expensive day out.

Actually you can buy a box of paintballs (2000 paintballs) online for about €60 shipped. But these places are a business and they are here to make money. You don't bring your own drink into the pub... (unless your a student have a nack for sticking naggins to your back ;) )

that's exactly the reason why i disliked paintball, if you can buy 2000 paintballs online for €60, then why is it your ok with paying twice that price from a local site? that's an incredible markup, if they can be gotten that cheap, they could (and likely do) get them cheaper than 60 for wholesale/bulk rates, they could then sell them locally for €70-80 and still be making a profit, why is it paintballers put up with this blatant ripoff?

Edit: sorry, i know this is completely off-topic to the event you posted about, but you mentioned the cost :P
