Nights out not the same.

In 1st year I had great craic on nights out and was out Monday, Tuesday and Thursday every week. Though in saying that for the 1st semester I found night out crap but I didnt know that people then.

Now in 2nd year and I have been out about 8 times since I started back and I have only had one good night all the rest were really shít.

Also last year I would know a lot of people out and this year that number is more than halfed.

Its the same around campus I dont recognize anyone.

But out of my mates from last year only about 3 people have dropped out and I now know more people from home who are in 1st year.

I've less hours this year then I had last year and just a bit more on the work load.

So ive no idea why nights outs have gone so bad.

stop expecting bad nights out and go and enjoy them.college changes every year...people/places etc and its up to you to make themost of them.

i feel the exact same way.. this year is terribly boring for me (in 2nd year aswel). Maybe its cause we've got older and the get drunk in pub followed by night club, night out isn't the same anymore

Well I guess you grew up a bit
once you've gotten the heavy drinking and clubbing thing out of your system, you get a bit sick of it
so try different things

It's great in first year and all but people just start to get a bit bored of it. It's fairly early on in the year anyway and I'm sure there'll b plenty of parties to go to. Maybe it's the whole starting second year, have to actually study syndrome. That doesn't last long either!

Failing that, go on Erasmus for a year. They're some of the best nights you'll ever have!

Seriously, this is pitiful. I normally try to have perspective and place each problem in context, but this isn't even a problem.

Join clubs & societies, get involved in the Students Union.
Work on campus?

All sure-fire ways of getting to know lots of folks around the place.
