I've successfully installed joomla 1.5 on a webserver, its a fresh install, no other joomla or php installation went before it, I get my userinterface up fine and can login fine, there is only one user set up as Admin but when I go to a menu that has anything to do with mangement like user management or installing components I get an error message saying restricted access and thats all it says, I know Joomla 1.5 is stilll at beta stage but just wondered apart from dumping it and installing joomla 1.00 is there another way around it?

you should really post this on the joomla forums as someone will know there, i won't be looking at joomla 1.5 until its out of beta testing so ill stick with 1.0 until a stable release is out.

Is the message from Joomla or the web server? Post a screenshot somewhere.

I was creating some websites recently and took a good look at joomla 1.5 but the thing that turned me off it was that JCE (by far the best wysiwyg editor for joomla) was not available for joomla 1.5 yet. Joomla 1.5 is gone to release candidate 3 so it is very close to being declared stable.

Post a screen shot of the error message.
