    Hey,
I'm just wondering if anyone out there has worked with fiberglass before and if you can give me any tips for it. I'm trying to make a helmet for halloween so any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks
    Jeff

Unless you have already started and with Halloween on a couple of days away, it might be easier to go the "inflate a balloon and cover in pva glue & strips of cloth or paper" route. That assumes that your head is the shape of a balloon of course (not the long thin ones).

    Good luck

Fiberglass will make you itch like crazy and very bad to inhale....avoid it if you can!

When working use latex gloves, when sanding or cutting use respirator and try to wet cutting/sanding areas to keep dust down.
Once hardened and sanded smooth, you shouldn't have any problems with it. But you'd better put padding inside this helmet of yours ;)
