I've been eating around 1500 calories for about 4 months now and i play rugby once a week and do about 30 half pull-ups daily.
I still look exactly the same as 4 months ago and dont feel like ive lost any fat at all.
Whats going wrong? (Don't tell me i dont eat enough, 1500 calories should be plenty)
    I am 5 ft 7 and weigh around 190-200lbs
    btw i am 14

    exercise more

sorry for being blunt but that's how easy it is for you right now. Your only a kid, so easy for you right now you've plenty of time.

when you get down to your ideal weight then you can worry about the finer details

    123,

Could you post a typical day's eating for us please? We can help you with diet advice.

As for activity, if all you do is the 30 half pull ups (which half btw?) and rugby once a week your body will be used to that, and as such you won't experience any muscle growth/fat loss. I cycle about an hour every day, but I've done so for 8 years. As such, it has zero effect on my metabolism, cardio or body composition.

You need to incorporate something new into your routine, and keep it fresh. Have you thought about taking up another sport or exercising more at home (lifting some weights, doing more push ups, squats etc)

Tell us what's available to you and we can help with a routine, you should see your body change dramatically if you make some changes.

    Colm

Excuse the cliche but you are a "growing lad". At 14 your body is still developing and you should be eating more than a fully grown man.

Unfortunately many do not realise this, so you have many families like my own where my overweight father was given the largest meal at dinner, while the adolescent boys got far less. Then the mother wonders why they are eating so much junk food....
