Hi all,

Not getting married myself, but my sister (who is) told me yesterday that she had heard from a source in the Registry Office that the fee to register your marriage is set to increase to €150 from - I think - November 9th next. I think that it costs around €30 - €40 at the moment (again, not sure). This fact is not being publicised by the 'relevant authorities' - anyone smell a scam in the making??
Just wanted to give anyone out there planning to register their intention to get married a heads-up...
Apparently you can get married up to 5 years from when you register, so get going!
