I bought an itouch last weekend.

When i got it home I realised I need to be on Tiger :(

Ive a PowerbookG4 with 10.3.9 so at the moment my lovely new itouch is sitting in its box and getting lonely :(

    Questions

    1. Should I buy leopard OS and upgrade Panther to this?
Is it even possible to do this?
    2. Should I buy a new ibook with leopard this week? My head says says, my credit card says no. Credit card wins :(
    3. Does anyone have a copy of Tiger for PowerbookG4 that I could buy off them??

    thanks for reading.

If you are looking to buy a copy of Tiger please post in adverts http://www.adverts.ie/showcat.php?cat=28 Discs Wanted.

In my opinion, on a powerbook, you would be better off going to Tiger.

or... sell your soul and buy a new macbook with Leopard :P

The disc that you get when you get a new computer is not a full OS, it is just a restore disc in case of emergencies etc. It is all but useless for anybody else; for the love of God, don't try to install it onto another Mac! ;)

It is a full install disc (no recovery partition on a mac) and has extras that you dont get on a retail disc, but it is tied to that model of machine and not a specific machine (this has been the case with all bundled discs for about the last 2 years), and it is technically not for resale, but what you do with it is your own business. But beware that not all imac discs are compatible with all imacs, different revisions require different minimum os versions.
