    dont know if this is the right thread but - anyone know if there is a planned release for new mac books? just wondering as i want to buy one but obv want to wait for this reason....

    Apple generally never publically announce new macs unless at some kind of conference/media event etc. Surprise element ftl. It's mostly accepted though that the products have a cetain life cycle, hence the Macrumors Buyer's Guide. With Leopard being released this Friday some sounds say that new macbooks are around the corner. It's anyone's guess.

    I was wondering too. At least you'll get the new OS when you get one now.
