Cash on Pokerstars

From reading various HH's it seems like I'm the only one here who plays cash on Stars. This is mostly because I play tournaments aswell and like to keep a bankroll for the two, but I read somewhere that the cash games are slightly tougher than average on Stars because they're populated with tougher US players than the likes of Party and iPoker skins. My stats agree, with my average opponent at $25nl being about 28/17/2.
The other thing that bugs me is the no rakeback. Do you think that their VIP system makes up for the lack of it? I've just hit SilverStar, and there's various freerolls and you're rate of accruing points goes faster etc..
Would I be better off bonus whoring around the iPoker skins for a few months to build a roll?
    Any advice appreciated!

well yes if you play on other sites they will be softer, you can get more bonuses, RB worth more than the Stars VPP scheme, etc, it sounds like you already know that. To compensate, Stars has other advantages over the smaller sites: better game liquidity, better CS, better software, better cashout times, and you can keep your roll in the same place you play tournaments. No one else can tell you which site is "better" for you personally, you have to figure out whether the disadvantages make up for the advantages.

Hi I play cash on stars too. I joined up at the end of July to play tournaments
I plyed some cash on ipoker before with pretty much break even success.
So i started playing cash seriously on stars and was very succesful on 25.50 building up a roll of 50+ buy ins from an iniatial 100$. Then last week I moved up to 50.1 and got absolutely killed so much 3 betting very agrsive i was just very uncomfortable. The stdwas much better than 25.50. i dropped a lot of buy ins and i am now back at 25.50 which is still easy enough to beat.

I play a loy of tables though so i am a platimunm star this month and i have already acheived it for next month aswell. wehn i accrued 25000 fpps i took the cash bonus of 285$ but you still have to clear 2000 vpps to get this so it wasn't really worth it. Then in the last month i got 50000 fpps so last week i ordered the 26" hd lcd tv which is a samsung if you are in europe i have priced this in argos and it is 800 euro and i have found it online for about 6I found that until u hit at least goldstar u dont accrue points quick enough at the other levels to make it wortwhile.

SO i plan to go back to ipoker via the 500$ 100% bonus at TITAN and then i will work my way around the ipoker sites. I hope that because the standard is higher on Stars that it will stand in good stead when i go back to ipoker. I guess i will find out in time. Altough i really do like the stars software and the game selection is great.

    hope this helps

All good info, thanks lads..Chili Poker (who?!) are offering 100% up to $600 so I'll start with that. You must play a fair whack to rack up that many points Grange. Gonna play the FPP freeroll $20k this saturday. Does it get a lot of runners?
