    Any Ideas ?

Who are you using and how much is it costing ?

For a .com name, try http://www.gate.com/

If you need a .ie, try http://www.alwaysamber.ie/

I use both with no difficulties. :)

I've found Dreamhost to be good. Cheap yet reliable. Loads of space/bandwidth. http://www.dreamhost.com They always have promos on too.. did a quick search and found this coupon - use the code "GRAFTING" and get 50$ off.

EDIT.. just found this one with an extra tenner off :) code: GIMMIE60

Hi Sunny, we have a number of packages available such as domain, hosting and search engine promotion tools for €149.00 + Vat per annum.

This is just the price don't always base the price on who you go with. We offer fantastic customer service and support, unlimited customer testimonials and customer surveys.

Some companies out there are the cheapest in the industry but if you do the research even on here, it proves cheapest option isn't always the best. If you want to private message me l can give you a call and take you through a solution to suit your needs.

    www.prolinkhosting.com

Best cheap hosting out there by far. 9.69 usd for a year Unlimited hosting, unlimited bandwitdh space etc.

Only catch is that you can only host 1 domain per hosting plan. not a problem if your just setting up 1 site though

I use GoDaddy. They claim to be one of the cheapest and they are defiantly the biggest in the domain business. I bought .com’s for US$9.49 each (based on a 10 year renewal)…. Great value.
As for hosting: Unless you want a big data volume site, just use Eircom or whoever your BB connection is with and do a masked URL re-direct… thus no hosting costs. That’s what I do ;)

hosting365.ie I found to be excellent service and very cheap also. You can get hosting for 40 a year with all email addresses etc and .ie have come away down to about 20 yoyos I think.

i've recently been using www.110mb.com for a club website i'm hosting and its free no email mind but apart from that seems to work grand no advertising.
no doubt someone is going to tell me why i shouldnt . obviously not a solution for business sites or anything mission critical but havent had a prob in 3 months.
