    Yes they are. There is no region lock on the DS.

    Yup it will be fine. You will need to buy an irsh charger for it.

    Going on hols to the US. Can you just buy an american charger and plug it in.

    Get one that states that it's 110-230V compatible.
    Else get a USB charger.
