Your Eminence...

When I get my Meteor bill through the post it comes titled as Your Eminence. I laughed hard the first few times but have gotten over it now. I have a friend in Meteor who jokingly changed it on the system. However this was months and months ago and I'm surprised no-one has noticed and changed it back. I've attached a pic!

Does anyone else receive anything funny or unusual through the post on a regular basis?

Your eminence... I always wondered why people used to call you that when we used to work together!

Nowt funny, but the amount of junk mail coming through is disgraceful. I cleared the hall table and counted over 100 bits of junk mail. What a waste of money and trees :(

That's what the recycle bin is for. (When it's not full of empty cans and coke botles)

Sure that's nothing, just moved into a house with a load of mates (all lads) and they had let their junk mail pile up, in the porch for about 6 months! It was like trying to walk through a mountain getting in the door. Thankfully one of them cleaned it up the other day, but yeah junk mail is a pain. Isn't there a way of writing to the post office to opt out of your address being included in these databases?

Do you live in a house or an apartment? Of the various apartment's I've lived in I've never had much, if any junkmail.

Lived in Holland for a while....you literally get 100 pages a day of junk mail, ads and flyers bundled together in a plastic wrapper. Its unreal, such a waste.

When I sign up to anything that might be spammy (e.g. Tesco's website) I always put my name in as Stupid Spam.

That way it gets addressed to Mr. Spam and I know to dump it.

A friend of mine put his name in to o2 as Tits McGee, got the custom-printed flyer sent out asking 'Want money for nothing Tits?'. Had quite a laugh.

The Master thing is normal when you're under 13. Unfortunately I still get it and I'm almost 21.

Heh Heh. I haven't heard the Master thing in a long time. Does anyone refer to their or other kids as Master these days?

No one has changed it because they've had no reason to look at your account. don't pay your bills for a bit & see if that changes it

My dentist appointments that arrive in the mail use the Title "Master"
Ever since I was 10 years old

Anytime Im filling out a form and it gives you the 'title' box option. I always put in "Dr."

I could have a PHd

my AAA card has Doctor before my first name.
Must have added it accidentally on the website!

On another useless note, I used to sign my Drugs Payment Scheme cards (does everyone get those?) as Mickey Mouse. Never had to use the card though :(.

A bank account that was set up by my parents for me when I was a kid is under the name Master Kevin... and that's what they use on any mail they send. The tax office send me stuff addressed to Evan with my surname and parts of the address spelled wrong aswell.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 26,061 ✭✭✭✭Terry

See if you can find yours. :D

Have stuff sent out to Billy Bollocks sometimes, always gets a chortle from me. I also think its funny to think of the postman delivering random-named post the odd time
