Hi, I recently got a free to air box installed in my home. I have all the channels from Astra2(i think, its one of the astras!). Is there anyway i can get any more channels? Im in the area thats covered by DTT, so can i get the irish fta channels. I have a technomate 5200 box, but it doesn't seem to allow me to add these irish channels, only channels from astra and eurobird, etc.
Also is it possible to put in a uk viewing card so get some of the ftv channels, i live in co. louth, so im close to the border?
    Does anyone have any ideas?
    Thanks,
    Al.

You'll not pick up DTT signals with a satellite receiver. Nor can you get RTE with your FTA receiver, as RTE are not FTA (encrypted and available via Irish Sky subscription only).

UK viewing card only works properly in a Sky box, no use in a FTA box.

Even though RTE is encrypted on the Astra satellite, you can still view the Aertel pages no problem, which suits me fine as there is precious few programmes worth watching on either these days. It's very fast retreiving pages too, so it's good for browsing the TV listings as the EPG on FTA is only now and next. If you want to *watch* the news, you can call up page 888 at 6pm and watch the subtitles, though the news pages are usually good enough to keep you up-to-date with current events here.

tm5200 is considerably more than a 'free to air' box as you describe.

I would suggest you add some LNBs to your dish and do a little research on technomate
