    Results:

John Duddy defeats Prince Arron by TKO in the second round. Arron was down once in the first round and twice in the second before the referee stopped the contest.

Matthew Macklin defeats Alessio Furlan by TKO in the 8th round. Macklin looked very impressive and was all over Furlan for every second of every round.

Paul McCloskey outgunned a game Dariusz Snarski and won in the 6th round after Snarski's corner called it a day.

Matthew Hatton looked impressive defeating a very brave and game Samuli Leppiaho by corner stoppage after the 6th round.

Stephen Haughian systematically destroyed Thomas Hengstberger by TKO in the first round. Straight from the bell he took Thomas Hengstberger out of his game with punches in bunches.

Great night of boxing, some cracking fights. Haven't watched a better card in a very long time.

Timlin lost on points....what was his performance like? RTE didnt cover any of it.

Really enjoyed the Macklin fight. That was one tough (and dirty?) Italian!

I thought it was nice of Hatton to speak like he did! He didn't have to do that and the fans seemed to appreciate it.

Poor Duddy's oppostion didn't have a hope but maybe it will be a good learning experience for him.

I want to see Duddy up against someone decent though! Before any title shots!

They are stablemates, pretty much the done thing to talk each other up. Hatton has been in the corner of quite a few of Billy Graham's other fighters, and normally says a few words about that fighter after the fight. The same was done for him on his way up through the ranks. It is a nice touch and shows unity in the camp. They also spar together, and often train together.

The man should hang up his gloves, truly pathetic performance. I hate seeing fat heavy weights, he was unfit and sloppy. His opponent just wanted it more. 3 fights two losses, he could lose 4 stone easily, training hard will do that. Worst fight of the night.

I was impressed by Macklin, he took care of Furlon in a much tidier way than Duddy did.I reckon if Duddy and Macklin ever meet Macklin could take it, he seems a much tidier puncher and can land the combinations nicely.

McCloskey was impressive also, good future there no doubt in the LWtr section as he's now 13-0-0.

Sweeneys first time out was good too, stopped his guy in the 2nd IIRC. Seems like a good hard puncher and agggresive fighter.

Mathew Hatton was impressive also, nice to see the 3 Hattons there!

I like McCloskey's style. Very confident.

a cracking card last night. rte and the promoters really deserve credit.

macklin looks top notch. if he continues he'll go all the way. training with billy graham and sparring with hatton can only help.

never forget macklin and jamie moore fight - one of the best and most brutal I've ever seen.
to see macklin come back after that loss and do so well is a credit to the fella.
