Paramount Comedy on NTL cable

    For the last two nights Nick has not switched to Paramount Comedy at 7pm. Instead we are getting a black screen. Strangely enough Paramount Comedys text service is still available but no picture or sound.

    Has anyone else experienced this? Has NTL pulled Paramount from its cable service?

    Yeah I noticed that last night,I put it down to a fault but now that it's happening for the 3rd night in a row it doesn't seem to be but I'd be very surprised if NTL took it off their basic cable line up.

    Sounds like somebody forgot to make a switch somewhere along the way and nobody in NTL was watching.

    I see it's still not coming in,they must be up to something but then again it's NTL so they'd probably say they didn't notice.

    Its crazy the way they operate. If something is wrong they expect you to inform them, rather than knowing there is a problem with their service.

    I just rang them to tell them it was off and they were totally unaware that there was a problem. Didn't seem to know what to do about it either! They said that they'd investigate it...

    That's one thing always baffles me is when they say they had no idea that there was a problem-I thought they had monitoring screens that displays all their channels so they can fix any problems quickly but obviously this isn't the case.

    Well its back. Apparently monitoring screens are unnecessary when you have customers to complain.

    Can we presume that the reason it wasn't fixed earlier was because not many people actually view the station (at least on analogue), so no-one complained when it was gone?

    I'd say it was because people probably thought that NTL would notice it themselves which we now know that they didn't.
