    Evening all,

I'm still a novice to boxing, with a few weeks training, but the coach tells us for stance, to put the weight on the balls of the feet.

I was wondering exactly how much weight to put on it, should I be lifting my feet off the ground or should I keep my heels on the ground but still have my weight on the balls?

    Thanks

Dont overly complicate it-just move around on the balls of your feet and it should feel light and certainly not like any weight is on them-find whats comfortable for you and practise footwork and skipping regular..hope this helps.

also lads, how close should the feet be,i mean my coach kills me for putting them too far apart,he has my feet about a foot apart

Thats correct-shoulder width is recomended, dont be stiff though, positions constantly change as you move..

What I was told was shoulder width apart, then take a step forward
