Hi, the girlfriend had a crash in November last year which was her fault, think she missed a stop sign. She paid for the other car she hit all sorted, gave the statements to the guards etc She then got a call from a guard where she had the crash asking her is she ready for Tuesday and is she pleading guilty? Have you seeked legal advice? So she was there pleading guilty to what? Well you're in court Tuesday Anyway the gf rang her home and neither her mother or father had heard anything about the summons either Anyway the gf got onto a solicitor in Offaly (where she had the accident) and he got a list of the court cases next week and she wasn't on it So this morning she rang the station again asking what charge she was being brought up on and what time the court was So now she has a careless driving court case on Tuesday morning which she didn't know about till yesterday Sorry for the long post but any idea what she'll expect to get from all of this?
    Thanks

If she hasn't been summonsed correctly she is defintely entitled to a reprieve on Tuesday that is if she is meant to be in court at all. Get a good brief onto this one on Monday. If she wasn't charged with an offence under the road traffic act within 6 months without an ajournment, I don't think there is a case at all. You really should get this checked out by a good brief
