Ok bearing in mind most of us have commitments I am giving you nearly a month to get this day free. Bribe the wife, dose the kids with Calpol do whatever you need to do but try and get to HRTA for that Sat.

Anyone who would like to get involved with us (god help you!) turn up as well. We are all there for a bit of craic.

Hopefully I will have 4 days of penicillin dosage after getting back from Vegas so I should be safe :)

Exams in UK upcoming + will be biz-travelling until 04/11 = no HRTA until then :(

Parents coming over for 10/11 week-end = no HRTA :(

(and on that one, sorries go to:
    @ liamo333, re. helmet deal
@ Shiva, re. borked MP7 deal
    @ chalky, re. spring M92F
can't do 10/11, as originally planned)

Brother-in-law coming over with his GF for 17/11 week-end = shouldn't have too big a problem convincing him to come with for a half day :D

Another ton of stuff to do in meantime re. Constitution (Hive, be aware feedback not before 3/4 Nov :() and another little 'project' I have in the works (nothing to do with sawing off the shorty or the "Zombie frame"), can't talk about it yet but should make some waves if I ever get it off the ground. And no, it's not a new site or shop.

I should add in passing (since I'll not have time to do a review of my SIG 552 until 3/4 Nov either), I've just tried it with my Intellect 8,4V 1500 and the ROF is unbelievable (sounds about double that of the DBoys M4, using same battery ). Can't wait to skirmish - but then, as most Z-Corps members will know, with age come responsibilities and other time-eating vagaries.

    > Thx for reading, gotta put head back down & go back to my books and notes now

I fear I may not be in the country for that weekend. I might be terrorising the locals just outside Glasgow. Will see if I can drag my little sister's partner (and a few of my relatives) along to a site just outside Glasgow in honour of the Z-Div official skirmish.

    ambro25 (CANT GO)

Hey-hey-hey! I didn't say I couldn't go on 17/11, I said I'd try to rope in the brother in law to tag along ;)

As it's the first 'official outing' of the ZD, I'll come for at least a half day, even if it does eventually cost me matrimonial purgatory for a while :D

@ kdouglas - will prob need to speak to you, actually, as "the" airsoft mechanic round these parts. Will do so week commencing 05/11.

Speaking of false teeth and all that goes with getting old:o
Can anyone recommend a good pair of boots to get?

I have docks/ (yes - from the 80's):p and new boots - steel toecap work boots (docs as well), they are a reasonable height (10 holes I think) but I find I get shag all support from them on my ankles, and I have a dodgy left ankle...:( They seem too loose and are too heavy anyway.

I was in Pro-Tec in the Curragh earlier and there seemed to be nice boots (Magnum I think) for sale but I think they were about 110 euro.

I also saw some really nice ones here: http://ebaybanned.com/product_info.php?products_id=830
    for $60 inc postage.
but they are only available in size 41-43 (7.5- 8.5).

    Anyone got any ideas/recommendations please?

(ps. I already have a crutch in the back of the car... just in case! What a crock I am:()

I have the half nylon/leather version of these (think they are €40) and have skirmished in them several times now. Very comfortable, didn't need to break them in.

Got the magnum's today from Sean Curtis. (Protac, Curragh)I had the wrong price - they were 75 (not 110 as I had thought). They feel very comfortable and light and great support too.

He did have some really serious boots there too (drooool) but at 240E per pair, they are far beyond my needs and budget atm.

Thanks for the help/advice all. :)

I, alas, shall not be in the country instead being in Scotland. I shall, however, be around the weekend after as my AEGs (one in particular) are feeling most unloved and in need of firing at moving, breathing (and hopefully screaming) targets

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 40,291 ✭✭✭✭Gatling

this AEG wouldnt happen to have M-6-0 in its name, missed its last outing with a sigh of relief:eek::eek::eek:,
