heater rad

Anyone know what the deal is with a heater rad in a ducato van? I know one of the ones here at work only blows cold even when the engine is hot but it was diagnosed by the maind dealer as needing a new heater rad but someone took a management decision to let me find one and have someone else fix it.

I know nothing about these and I'm aware that the reason the main dealer wasn't allowed do it was because it was too expensive. The problem is that this is our oldest van and is effectively a spare van and I'd imagine anything to do with the dash is costly.

Am I wrong in thinking this job might not be viable?

Anything else I should know about these yokes?

are you sure that termostat is working, I would first check that, just find out where the upper main hose is (leaving from radiator) and check does it heat up when engine heats up,

usually heater rad is pain to change, I´m not sure if Ducato is any different (probably not)
