Ok, this is very basic, but causing me near-anguish here. I just want to make a montage of many pictures/images that I have. But when I open them(into Paint), and then try and add another image, the original disappears. How do I manage to keep the original, while adding the next image/photo beside it?

Thanks for any help, I know it's gonna be easy for the answer. Oh, and its just a basic one I'm doing, for a laugh mainly.

Not a great answer but when you open one, select it all using the "select" tool, right click on and select copy, open the other picture and right click and hit paste. Im positive theres a better way of doing this!!!

Open two paint programs, use the dotted rectangle to select what you want to copy from one pic, then ctrl-c or edit-copy. Paste into receiving pic

Have a look at Picassa and the montage function in that.. you can put them in little polaroid frames and they look scattered on a table.. pretty wicked actually..

Paint is for opening files one by one...

If you want ease of use I also suggest Picassa - http://picasa.google.com/
