Can't see it fetching anything near that price.

Well ...it's been tarted up with all the facelift bits:

the wide, body coloured plastics on the side
the white indicators and smoked rear lights
and the new bonnet with the smaller grill

Either somebody had too much money ...or someone is trying to hide something :D

..new style alloys aswell. Cant see those being standard back in 87!

Interior seems to show its age anyway. Nice nonetheless

have seen one or two of these cars recently, on the pre 87 plates. I think the range was introduced in Europe in 1985. Ive also seen two of the same cars on 98 plates??

The first cars are 85 the last are 98! Although the w210 debuted in 1996 the w124 was continued for a while longer in estate form, while some saloons and coupes were held in carparks for up to 3 years so you could see a 99!

Quick john- get the camera, she's soaking wet.

A workmate bought a car from him and he seemed straight enough. These W124s are getting on to the extent where you're better off getting a well minded old one (like this appears to be- FSH?) than a newer "Irish" one with an unknown past.

Looking at the 'head-on' picture - I wonder if the car has had a haircut? :D
