Unfortuantely cant really help you there.....I bought a wireless spycam that I basically use to see whos at the front door when Im upstairs... very simple setup....

Wireless camera can use a 9V battery (goes very quickly) or you can use a 9V mains adapter (supplied). The wireless receiver then connects to a local computer and you can record or stream it. As far as I know one wireless receiver can support upto 4 cameras. You can also connect them up to a TV or LCD and record to a video/DVD recorder.

It really depends on what your after, there are motion sensitive ones that only record on movement, infra for dark etc etc. Might be no harm to give the guys a call prior to purchase and explain your needs...

Have you setup that Eircom watch thing?. You know where they call you when you alarm goes off?.

    Hi Texanman

I would recomend that you buy one or two network cameras. Axis 207 or 207W (wireless) are good indoor cams, at less than €280+vat for the latter. The can record direct to a router and be viewed online (suject to brodband at both locations). There is no need for a PC on the camera premises. If broadband is not available, it can be recorded to a harddisk. See www.axis.com

I find this to be a good UK review site for making comparisons:
