3rd Party Cover on someone else's car

I have fully comprehensive insurance on my own car, which gives me 3rd party protection to drive someone else's car (even if it's not specified in their policy).

What does this mean exactly? What would I expect to be covered in the event of a 2 vehicle collision for example? Sorry for being morbid :)

    Thanks

Only for the cost of the car YOU hit... Not the car you drive. If someone else is at fault then their insurance covers it.

So basically it's a major risk on behalf of the owner of the car you are driving!
