Airsoft sniper rifles

Does anybody know if there are any all metal airsoft sniper rifles, bar the stock obviously?

I've been browsing various sites and its rarely mentioned materials.

Also I read the vsr 10 review on this site and the ejection port does not open.

Are there any airsoft rifles that do? For example you could cock the handle and load an individual bb if you wanted.

Why do they cost near the price of an aeg also I dont get that one.

Id prefer a clone for now, have looked at the m700, bar 10, l96 etc.

I think these are questions best answered by someone whos used the various rifles as its very hard to find these answers bar using the thing.
I've an m4 aeg but find its handier to plink with a springer as I dont want to be leaving half charged batteries lying round.

    Any feedback greatly appreciated,

    Thanks.:D

Edit: oh yeah, does the mag act like an aeg? do the bbs fall out when you remove the mag or is it like a gbb, they stay in the mag when removed? Thanks

I know liamo has a pretty sweet rifle with a metal barrel (i think). He also knows quiet a bit about them so try PM him.

If you think about it really there is no such thing as an all metal sniper rifle in RL so why would there be an airsoft one.

Well i tell a lie, but the barret doesnt count as a sniper, thats a god damn anti everything rifle! Theres an airsoft version but it fires and costs well over 450.

Here's a clone sniper that has what you're looking for. However, it's cheap, and I've read some bad reviews of it. Mainly to do with accuracy and build quality.

It has 5 ejectable shells though, each holding 1 bb. You can see vids of it in action on youtube.

    Hope that helps.

The Super 9? I haven't fired one but from what I've read, it's one awful awful rifle. Barely even entry level. Really best to avoid.

Aye, I read that it was pretty bad alright, but the OP was looking for a working ejector port, and it is the only one I had come across. You are right that it is probably best avoided. Maybe someone else knows of another.

thought he was asking if he holds it down will the bb roll out?

or the way some of the hi-caps seem to loose a lot of bbs when they are removed from the mag-well

I bought a TM VSR-10 G-spec but if you are looking for a good value sniper springer then BFSL do a STEYR SSG 69 for under €100. I was considering getting this myself but went with the G-spec.

in fairness though ithe barret is an airsoft wet dream, if the law ever changes and allows higher powered snippers, will defo buy one, imagine appearing to HRTA with one :D

I know, just wanted to come back to a hape of answers!

The shell ejector looks fun alright, but prob not what I had in mind.

Does any one know of a sniper rifle that when the bolt is in the rearward position, the ejection port is open? Not necessarily functional but open to expose the barrel. confused? me too.

Basically the opposite of what the vsr does in the review in the review thread.

They have to be downgraded though am I right?

Are there any all metal rifles? Obviously the stock is plastic but the barrel, sights, bolt etc.

no iron sights on this one but mostly metal except for the mag and the furniture, internals all seem to be pretty much metal.

Actually I've looked into this, theres a version 2 available, has the same principle of a realistic mechanism, but its better implemented, accurate and rugged.

I really want to source one now.

If anything, pressuming this m6 is a sniper, the user has done the right thing by using an old thread for his/her questions instead of cluttering the forum with another.

All these "comical" In before the Locks just show how poors the boards community actually is.

Have you used a forum anywhere on the web ever?

The generall concensous is that a thread of reasonable age (and trust me 3 years old is reasonable age) shouldnt be dragged up as the information contained in it becomes less relevant over time and can mislead.

If we all went by your theory boards.ie would have no new threads seeing as all you would ever need is drag up dead threads and recycle them over and over and over. Like the adverts section if you posted a "is this still for sale" on a thread 3 years old it would be ridiculous because of coarse the info on the thread is 99% not valid now.

Mods wanna back me on this and block the zombie head clean off this .......

    Middle ground...

Basically, you're both right. Necro-threads are frowned upon but at least the poster has made an effort to search (which is a damn sight more than what most people do).

Ghilliemaster, you'd be better off starting this as a new thread in the Airsoft Questions section. Per the rules for a thread of this age, this one will shortly be locked.

Before this happens, I'd like to point out a few things that this post has reminded me of.

    1) Oh Stercus, back when you were Motosam. So young and naive in post #1 of this thread...
I particularly like the "OMGWTFBBQ why do these cost the same as AEG's?!?!?1!!?" question.

    2) I miss Arcto, a true gentlemen of the sport and great craic.

    3) I miss Liamo, still the best sniper the country has seen.

That and the fact that people don't look at the dates stuff was posted and then quote something posted years ago as if it was posted today.

To the rest of ye, you know where the report button is, taking the mick out of a new user is not cool.

    ghilliemaster, welcome to boards :)

Feel free to start a new thread here with any Airsoft related discussion.

    /thread.
