Self-drive minibus rental

    Hi,

    I'm looking for car-rental companies in the Dublin area which let you hire 16-seater minibuses. I've looked around but the biggest vehicle you seem to be able to hire is a 9-seater. Any help would be appreciated!

    Won't you run into the problem that you'll need some kind of PSV licence for anything with over a certain number of seats? Maybe that's the reason why?

    You need a D1 minibus licence to drive up to 16 seats. As far as I know, you only need a PSV license if you're getting paid to drive, though I could be wrong.

    Though it is quite possible that it is down to PSV or insurance issues. I don't know...
