    Guys
I have an LNB picking up 19E, it then means I watch Premier Sport to watch the bundesliga and Premier League.

I have a Premier Flex package, which I pay 20 euro a month for the all the sport, no other payments to Premier. It gets me all the soccer which is show across I don't know how many channels maybe 8 or 10. I get the same matches which are show on both Sky and Setanta, except on 1 package.

BUT what I am asking is, even though I pay for the sub, is it illegal to watch the Premier League on Premier Sport in Ireland, outside Germany where the channels are?

Someone said to me it was, I argued that it was not.

If you have a valid Premiere subscription, then I think it's OK.

If you're receiving Premiere and not paying a subscription, then this is theft and is illegal. And it won't be discussed here.

From your post you don't sound very clued in.

If you have taken out a genuine subscription to Premier either directly or through an authorised agent then you are doing nothing wrong.

If you are watching programmes that are occasionally broadcast in the clear that's fine also.

On the other hand if you are using a pirate card or hacked box you are defrauding the service supplier and that is illegal.

As Byte has pointed out we don't discuss illegal activities round these here parts.

    <edit>

OP has let me know via PM that he has a genuine sub so everything is Kosher, he is perfectly legal.

Isnt is a bit of a grey area receiving the Premiere sports package, when premiere dont have the rights to broadcast to Ireland. Probably not illegal, but may break the T&Cs with premiere. They probably could cancel your subscription if they knew your were using the card outside Germany.

EU Human Rights Law guarantees equal rights for all EU citizens. If it is legal for a German to buy the sub and watch the channel then its is legal for Dutchman, Frenchman, Irishman etc to do the same. Restrictive T&C which infringe on human rights legislation are not enforceable in court AFAIK.

It's Sky that has the problem with this not Premiere, as they own the right to various leagues. I am not sure what is the legal situation regarding private individuals watching league matches on Premiere sub as Hagar says above*, but it is certainly illegal for commercial premises to screen live Barclays Premier league matches without a valid Sky commercial agreement in the UK (or Ireland I guess)
They are actively targetting commercial premises and suppliers of such equipment.
Apart from statements aimed at commercial premises and saying that no other broadcaster has rights to show live BPL matches, I see nothing on their site about home premiere etc sub users**.

*I am fairly sure if it was a problem for private users then Sky would certainly had stated it as clearly as they do for commercial premises (pub/clubs/private clubs etc).

**Funny I misstyped that first time, who knew users is an anagram of suers;)

It's a whole different ball game for Commercial premises, businesses are not people and therefore wouldn't have the same rights that an individual has under Human Rights legislation.

So, forgive the stupid question, but how do you get a Premiere subscription?

You'll need a german address and bank account. Or you'll find a dealer who'll provide you with a valid card. Could be very dear.:(

let us know here how you get on.
Details of what you need, what package you get, subscription cost etc.
Is there a yearly one off payment or monthly sub only?
I have a cousin in Germany I might ask to get it if it's worthwhile

What? It wasn't clear at the start whether he was receiving it legally via valid subscription or illegally.

THe opening post was edited for clarification after I posted.

And as he's going down a legit route, it's open for discussion.
