I'm going to be starting a poker information website with a few friends shortly. I've some experience of doing similar stuff before but I wouldn't consider myself a professional website designer by any means. The last website I did www.firbolg.com started off as a hobby site but then became semi serious. I initally built the site myself in Dreamweaver but then I paid a professional to redesign the site, he chose to use Movable Type. Though I was by and large happy with what he did, I've never got the hang of using Movable Type.

I'm looking to do this website in a professional manner. I don't wish to use Movable Type again as I don't have the time to get up to speed on a system that I found difficult to use and also I'm not so sure would a blogging type tool be appropiate as the website will not be a blog.

The last time I used Dreamweaver,a few years ago now I know a lot of the html produced was invalid according to www.w3.org.

So what do people think I should design a professional poker information website with? Any advice appreciated.
