    i won a sat, never played this high buyin before.
    just wondering if anybody regularly plays this tourment could me some advice like what the player standard is like?

    are the very tight ie nits or very aggressive or a mixed of both, is there much dead money in the tourney i.e sat winners (like me:D)

    anyone got any thoughts on play strategy , something like tight until the blinds get bigger ,
    than aggressive mix up a little? or open my range early and build up a stack?

    thanks

    play your normal game, don't try get fancy just because its a big event

    I just played a GF sat after making it through a feeder, and I couldn't do anything but fold, LAG table, and I repeatedly got 2 cards below 8, only played 4 hands all game, and busted with an A when c.10 BBs

    - What I would strongly suggest is that you avoid is bleeding "easy" chips. Play tight. Try to raise into pots. Avoid limping and calling a raise behind in order to get lucky on the flop. Don't get trappy with your big hands. Play them fast and strong;

    - And when your stack dips below 15BBs, try not to make standard open raises anymore. Just look for opportunities to go all - in after someone raises in front of you.

    Here's hoping that you catch some cards and enjoy it.

    Good luck,

    Lloyd.

    Thats all great advice.

    Also be patient and watch what other players are doing. watching others helps pass the time and gives you some ammo to use against them when you do play.

    Yeah don't get too jiggy with it, especially early on, but even later don't lose the plot all of a sudden, patience in these things go a long way imo, also don't build up your hopes too much you can suddenly look down at aces and get it all-in preflop and see two guys get it all-in with yeah:confused:, and the crazy fish with 22 will hit the set, it's obligatory don't you know ;), in any given day god knows you need a lot of luck in poker but especially in mtts.

    Anyways good luck, wish you well, hopefully it'll be your day :D
