Tournament # 61587589. Password "HighVariance". Open client --> Go to Tournament Tab --> Go to Private sub tab.

If I win my third straight Hold Them tournament in a row for this series I will boast a lot. So, you might want to prevent that. :)

Well, if you start boasting, we'll just bring up your performance in the Razz tourney again. :P

Nah it wasn't a slowroll :D just a bit too much thought for my manic style. Playing a lot of cash lately so these tourney's are great for blowing off some steam.

    just a quick question.

I raise preflop and CR you on an A high flop telling you "i want your stack" and you call with 10 10 - what range of hands did you put me on to make the call? Or was there something in my betting patterns? Im curious..

Wd on the victory btw, well played - at one point on the FT I thought you were goosed but you fought back well.

it was a pretty loose call on the river when any ace was also beating you....you could have saved yourself an extra 900 :p

I would not question it too much Noel - nothing to do with your game i'm thinking. Sumo flat called with quads(nuts) in position on the river at the IPO

    It was your betting patern.

I had a conversation with Oz last week. He laid out a scenario highlighting the necessity of knowing what you will do if you bet out and your reraised.

You had done something similar to me earlier and made me fold an ok hand and I thought I bet he reraises my bet here. I also considered that you might think I was overcautious and could be easily pushed off a hand. I decided I was calling you if this was the case.

I only really feared an ace and was willing to go out to it if you had it and decided to play it that way. I didnt think you had any of paired part of the board.

I find your post really confusing and not all together coherent.

Anyway my question remains what range of hands do you consider I raise preflop with that I check raise you on the flop with to make it a good play by you with 10 10 for your tournament life? Go back and take a look at the hand history and I feel you will struggle to assign a range against which your call with 10 10 is profitable. Also FWIW I think you should be 3 betting me preflop alot of the time.

Edit - outline my betting pattern and why it should make a difference. I CR you for 225 short of your entire stack so for you to continue with the hand you should know its all going in there at some point. A CRAI is effectively the exact same as a CR for the amount ive bet.

I find your post really confusing and not all together coherent.

Anyway my question remains what range of hands do you consider I raise preflop with that I check raise you on the flop with to make it a good play by you with 10 10 for your tournament life? Sorry for the lack of coherence, typing it up while at work. In general I thought I played the hand poorly.

This is true, I was paying more attention to the fact it was you and the way the previous hand had played out rather than putting you on a specific hand.

Foremost in my mind was the belief that you would consider me easy to push of a hand. I would probably have folded to another player.:D

Also FWIW I think you should be 3 betting me preflop alot of the time.

Yes in the last week or so I have been avoiding doing this with decent hands and i cant figure out why, a bad habit i have picked up and intend to drop.

Yes, I dont even know why i held back 225 when I decided to call. As i say I wasnt overly happy how I played.

I wonder if you were giving me too much credit in how I would read your play. I probably wasnt considering it deeply enough.

I will look up the hand but i think the flop was A88 or similar.

When you raised me my thoughts as far as I recall them were ...

Noel wants to push me of this hand.

Does he have an Ace, maybe.

    Why didnt he bet out

does he have an 8, probably not, i dont think he would play it that way.

Does he have a pair better than mine? mmmm no.. there are only 3 (if he had AA he doesnt play it like that)

Now the most important thing in all this is the one question I didnt ask myself What does Noel think I have?

bascially I jumbled all that about and came out with he is a chancer;) and doesnt have an Ace and I pressed call .

I dont think the board paired until the turn but im not 100% on this,

Because if I had an A in a heads up pot betting out would be bad on a dry boards because I am denying you the opportunity to bluff at the pot and I am therefore losing value.
