There's so much information out there about Wii, DS etc, its all a bit confusing, so here goes.

I've got a Wii for my two boys 11 and 6 years old. Just the bog standard pack with Sports at the moment. What do I need to get for them to get the best of it? Another nunchuck or controller, or both?

Am going to delve into the murky waters of VC shortly, but basically you can buy old games and download them, is that the nuts of it? They each have a DS too, so can they do anything with them with regards to the Wii? Download games eetc.

    Thanks in advance.

in total two nunchucks and two controllers should do the job.

you may need a "classic controller" which are also sold speratley to play some of the VC games, alternativley you can buy some second hand game cube controllers cheaply to do the same.

You purchase points which allows you to buy older games which can be downloaded directly to the wii.

I'm not sure if there's much you can do with the DS's now but in the futuer I belive you will be able to download demo's etc from a DS docking station attached to the Wii.

Depending on your budget, an extra wii remote is your first priority. You can get a bundle consisting of a Wii Remote and Wii play that is decent value. After that, get 2 nunchucks (although only the boxing game needs them in Wii sports).

I'm sure that after playing ityourself, you might want to get an extra controller for yourself too :)

Rumors persist of a future Wii Channel which will allow you to use the Wii as a download station for DS demos. The possibilities are endless :)

My wife uses Wii Sports as a fitness work out - the boxing is really good. There will also be a dedicated fitness game coming out in the new year - Wii fit, which will come bundled with a board that you use for various exercise/yoga type games.

As you get a wiimote and a nunchuk with the console, you will need an extra wiimote (get Wii play this comes with a wiimote and the kids will like the minigames) - the extra nunchuck can be bought for around €20-30.
