I decided to take Feylya's suggestion and start a thread on these.

ESP unveiled 54 new models at NAMM '07. Some are revisions of last years and some are new models. Some very very nice stuff. Here's a few of my favourites. :)

Oooh, that relic is damned nice. Dunno what to think of the PRS rip mind. Got any RRP's for them?

Well Thomann already have the Surveyor up for sale at €854.

List price for the GL-56 (reliced strat) is $2199 in the US, street of around $1600. In the UK list is £1550 with Guitar Village sellin' em for £1300. :)

No idea on the prices of the others.

The PRS-ish one is fugly, I just put it there because it was different. :p

If they had extended the lower horn (oooh eerrrr missus!) and made it a bit chunkier looking, it would have been lovely. Kinda Kramer-esque. Can't wait to see what appears on Ishi now :D

Ok, question. I played the ESP P bass in the USA and a Fender P Bass, in the same shop in the same amp. Sounded the same, looked the same and there priced the same.....Don't see the attraction of getting a ESP when it 99% the same as the Fender its copying?

Have a tread on somone feelings with a comment like this?

I ain't dishing the ESP guitars at all, so please enlighten me!

In saying that, I did buy a Bongo.... so some would say what do i know about taste!!!

IMO ESP are better quality, generally the actual ESP (not LTD) use Seymour Duncan or EMG pickups as standard. Plus you have an ESP which generally have a good resale value.

The Bongo is nice though, I'm tempted by the up-and-coming Bongo 6. :)
A little fact that most people might not know is that the MM Bongo was actually designed by BMW!

Thats very true. Well its a savage bass. There is some output from it. The HH gives out some kick. got me a 5 String Stingray with HH two. There really top basses.

I know people who want ESP's and they say there better. I am not a guitarist so I can only comment as a bass player and there basses are so so really.

I just felt like i was playing a cheap copy, except it was ESP top bass. So the man in the shop was telling me.

I'm actually a bass player too, but I like nice guitars (even though I can't play) haha.

Hmmm...Its all about the feel. I couldn't play it if it felt like that.
