i would presume doors open at nine, it'll be in the hub, bring as many forms of id as you can...

Dress up if you want, there maybe a prize for best dressed, there may be bands/DJs.. ehh I will be there..

no idea who is playing at it. you will need a ticket for it, i get the impression from your posts that you don't have one. they're sold out now.

nah a friend of mine has a spare ticket and really wants me to go,so im just tryna figure out if its worth the trip out to Dcu for the night.

so how did the ball go last nite???? heard that they only had the nuBar and the Venue open seems a bit of a stupid idea tbh considering they sold 800+ tickets

Apart from the massive queues at the Bars and the death trap that was the stairs, twas a good night!!

I got rid of my ticket last minute and went for a drink and dinner after work, then onto a civilised neighbourhood party and then home for a couple of drinkies while chatting to the family. Does this mean I'm getting old? I was just so not in the mood for it being so crowded and busy. Good costumes?

I dressed up as a slutty nurse(how creative is that) que at the door sucked,The bands were ok,and the freakshow was completely mental,:eek: def my highlight of the night..amazingly,I only fell on my ass twice..floors were way to slippy!

It was ok, I felt kinda robbed though when I discovered we were being forced into the New Bar only after the ticket said "The Hub". I don't get why the Old Bar wasn't open for this one. It was even open last week for a Music Soc event, but not for the Halloween Ball, I don't understand it really... Just judging by the amount of people who were sneaking in without tickets they could easily have filled the Hub proper.

Overall it seemed like a very half assed event. Getting a pint was near impossible and there could easily have been accidents on those stairs with the amount of people packed in.

I still had a good night, I guess, but it could have been a lot better.

Yeah i enjoyed myself, alot of funny costumes and there was a pretty good atmosphere. Maybe expected a little bit more, it would of been better if the oldbar was open!
