yep, after series 3 all the dvds are labelled wrong (prolly for marketing reasons, so people think theyre getting full seasons):

season 4 dvd = first half of season 4
season 5 dvd = second half of season 4
season 6 dvd = The first 13 out of 18 episodes in season 5

so the season 7 dvd will likely contain the rest of the season 5 eps and the first few eps from season 6 (airing now in the states)

I thought what was Season 4 in the US was split into what they called Season 4 and Season 5 in the EU beacause it was so huge, that would explain why the Season 5 DVD which was released last month in the US is actaully called Season 6 DVD in Europe but contain the same episodes.

They've only showed three episodes of the American Season 6 what will be the European Season 7 on Fox to date and there has been no advance DVD release of the seson premiering at the moment on either side of the pond.

you're right but i dont think it has anything to do with it "being so huge". Season 4 only had 24 episodes (the season 3 dvd had 21 episodes on 3 dvds), so i think its more a case of them tryin to rake it as much money as possible, much like the "season 1 part 1" etc. releases for lost, prison break etc. but they can get away with calling family guy a full season because it has no continuity.
I think the fg dvds are similar in the states but they label them volume 4, 5, 6 etc. so its not as confusing
