Any brand you won't smoke?

OK, let's say you are out of smokes and nowhere near a shop, is there any brand you would turn your nose up at, even if you've gone a few hours without a smoke?

I find it hard to smoke John Player Blue (mostly because I don't want to look like a total skobe :D). They have always given me headaches, so unless I was really craving a smoke, I wouldn't deprive someone of one of theirs.

My flatmate smokes them sometimes, and even the smell of the smoke from them is a bit nauseating to me.

Also, Silk Cuts (Purple). They seem to me to be ever so slightly perfumed, plus they remind me of a particularly vicious ex/breakup.

erm, if you can read this, would you please just even reply that you can, I'd like to know how many people actually use this forum, thanks.

I won't smoke John Player blue either (pretty much because I don't want to look like a knacker either!)

Generally I'll only smoke light cigarettes, full strength ones kill me unless I'm REALLY drunk.

Hate JP Blue's also, like a horrible aftertaste from them.

That said, if drinking, I'd smoke nearly any brand! :)

Major , there is just something dirty to me about smoking them. Even in desperate times if offered a major i would turn it down.

Have to agree with the JP blue people - they are vile. Silk Cut purple aren't far off either.

    My da smokes Major.

In fact, one of my first smokes was a major stolen from him.

They are not actually a bad smoke. Very smooth, which surprised me.

tbh I'd smoke just about anything if I'm desperate enough.
Ever pick the butts out of an ashtray and salvage just enough to roll a new ciggarette?
I have, and it sets the bar a lot lower in terms of skanky horrible brands you won't smoke.

I'll smoke anything if I have to but John Player are rank. They're badly made, and burn way too hot. The filter often comes away from the casing and it crushes too easily. And they taste horrible.

Some of the really light ones, especially from the Silk Cut ranges, I sometimes doubt the point of smoking. I'll often have one because it's all thats around and I think I'd be better off if I hadn't, I just end up wanting a proper cigarette more.

Been there and done that :( Desperate times.......

I won't smoke Rothmans, Major or Marlboro Red. The smell off them is rotten. For all the light smokes, I'll just rip off half the filter or cover the holes in the filter with the gummed part of a skin. Also Consulate and any other menthol smokes are an abomination.

Major for me too. When I was younger I found a full packet on the ground outside a shop and smoked them all. Since then I never want to see them again. Ugh

Ah brands brands. I am a bit of a brand whore and have tried most types. Im not really a rollie man, find them to be a bit studenty and spitty for my tastes.
Nothing worse than having a lump of damp tobacco clutching your tongue, hanging on for dear life as you spit and splutter to get it out, all this as you try and enjoy your smoke and get on with your life. No sir. Not for me.
As for brands I wouldnt touch. OK JP Blue actually taste like you are smoking a pencil. I mean fair enough if that's what you are after, but I like to not have the throat cut out of me by a cigarette. So they are out on the basis of being rank.
Now, for whatever reason in my college days, I found the need to, eh, *rechecks charter* remove the tobacco from the inside of a cigarette to utilise said tobacco for other personal purposes. In doing so, naturally, you would get a pretty good feel for the quality of different smokes based on the quality of the tobacco in the smokes. I would occasionally note the presence of some very strange things in the tobacco, that I was not aware I was smoking. Such as very hard woody feeling lumps, frequently most common in the Silk Cut purple. I have also seen like brown sticky lumps of something the consistency of black snot, of what only could be described as the smokin' Nasty, that I presume now peppers my lungs. These were most prevalent, in my observations at least, in the Silk Cut series of smokes. They just don't seem to care as much. Silk cuts are like a Cameron Crowe film, you start off feeling sophisticated and intelligent because you feel like you "get" it, but upon rewatching, it just leaves a bad taste in your mouth that won't quit.
Camel Lights are annoying, because the tail end of the smoke invariably falls off before you can finish it. I mean WTF? I knew American cars were liable to fall apart, but it's pretty easy to keep a feckin smoke together.
And has anyone ever had this "Black tobacco" or "Tobacco Negro"? It's common in the cheapest cigarettes you can buy in Spain and similar. Its a black tobacco, obviously, and tastes like someone just dared you to drink the ashtray that an alcoholic just got sick into.
Or slightly like salsa. Same difference.
