    Hi,

A friend mentioned to me that there are informal gatherings of model plane fliers at the phoenix park on sunday mornings - does this still happen?

I don't have a plane (well ok, I have an XPV, does that count?! :) ) but I'm thinking of going along for a gawk tomorrow.

    Cheers

Ah sure go for the laugh, the most they can do is throw you dirty looks.
ask coolwings, he's the plane man around boards.

The Leinster Club fly at Phoenix Park Sunday mornings.
The Three County Club fly at Blessington.
The Dublin Kestrel Model Flying Club fly at Brittas, near Tallaght.
Other flyers are flying gliders at Howth Head, Killakee, and Lacken.
Thereare a few other "private" locations where we fly with permission of the landowner, or have a small club.

Take your choice. Drop me a PM if you need further info, but there is a good bit on the links in the General Thread of this forum. :-)
