Percolation Testing Professional Indemnity Insurance

    Was hoping to do the FAS course on this to get qualified as an assessor of site suitability tests next year, and was just wondering about the cost per annum of the required professional indemnity insurance.

    I think you need to be indemnified to the tune of €1,000,000. I will hopefully be doing this on the side in a private capacity (will be working in a consultancy full time).

    Who would be a good company to look for this type of insurance from too?

    i tried quinn insurace when i was working in consultancy but they turned me down as they wont insure u if your working privately (eg. if its not your main job).

    thought it was a bit crap but anyway...

    there was a long waiting list for the fas course when i did it and it costs about 1600 eur if i rem. rightly.

    cost of pi for 1 million wud be about 2k.
