I posted in a thread recently about buying quality yet cheap poker cards (searched but could't find the thread) where it was recommended to buy Bicycle Cards, which i did. However the quality wasn't great as the bend out of shape very quickly. What i need is the durability of copaq, without the cost:) I was looking through some sites and found the aviator brand... is anyone familier with these? In any case any advice would be appreciated.

Bicycle are only plastic coated and not 100% plastic. Its a sub-brand of Kem or something, but only last one night whereas Kem cards are good quality that last. But unlike Bicycle they're not cheap. Maybe you remembered this link? I cannot imagine someone recommending the quality of Bicycle cards.

Copag are (relatively) cheap, only 11.99 euro per deck. For sale at my favourite games shop: www.gamersrealm.eu

€11.99 for a deck of Copag? - Over priced especially when just €6.95 a deck in your local friendly irish webstore www.casinoshop.ie !!!

Here's general info on different tyoes of cards

Aviator are not the best but its reflected in price. Bicycle BEE Hoyle, good general cards. KEM & Copag last for ages. - All but Copag are made by US Playing Card. Co.

Royal are not great - we usually throw them in with decent size orders as a freebie.

Aviator are almost the same as bicycle, made by the same company, along with others mentioned by mcaul.
See 6 Copaq decks for €30 at the weekend, thts great offer.

There is also a decent plastic set in dunnes stores, its a travel deck (its regular size) ao waterproof comes with a case etc, wouldn't be as good as Copag but proably handier to get.
I picked up a Copaq at the IPO, and they are grand, im actually going to throw out alot of my old decks now, (two of the are aviators and have lasted ages)

I highly recommend the casinoshop.ie Copaq's. Ordered some sets from them a while back to introduce to the heathens at one of my local live games. Delivery was fast and now the locals insist on full plastic cards. Highly recommended and well worth the €6.95!!!

How many do you need tackle and what are they for? We use fournier. Bicycle is a sub-brand of fournier they tend to have quite the card monopoly :p
We have some if you are simply looking for a few decks I could sort you out.

If you are looking for more I could get you our contact in fournier so you dont have to go through a middle man..

yea i have some fournier cards which are great..they are used at the EPT also

i have some of the wsop 07 cards and they are very good..made with a mix of paper and plastic apparently..feel like paper and are really easy to shuffle but dont bend out of shape and they last long..expensive though

I actually ordered 10 decks of copags last night through casinoshop, it works out ok because you get two decks free and a 10% discount through boards. May take that offer if i need any more, thanks!
