    I just watch it.

I thought Moneymaker was bad but Yang is officially the worst player ever to win the WSOP. An absolute joke.

I'll be in my grave for millenia before we see anyone play worse than Jamie Gold and win the wsop.

yang played well in mine; without doubt played the best on final pure aggression drove most of the others into making mistakes I can identify huge mistakes by 7 of the 8 other final tabelists. while yang hit cards early he went with the rush without cards. Plenty unorthodox betting but this may of actually been a great tactic as he was basically saying to people you play the hand you play it for your tournament. He may not of known what he was doing but if he did it was brilliant

I agree that he was aggressive. But not once did he fold when he had an A preflop or if he hit any part of the flop. He was a LAG calling station

Just remembering one hand in praticular

When Watkinson re raised him All in. Yang shouldnt have called with that A9. He didnt even think about what the other player had. He just saw his ace and called. No matter what way you look at it, Calling with A9 to a massive raise was just stupid. He wasnt getting odds on the call and what was the best hope that he would have the best hand. He was more than likely up against Ace with higher kicker or Pocket pair.

Terrible winner. Yes, worse than Gold and Moneymaker.

I watched the first few hours of the final table live, he actually took an age to decide to call, in fact a few of us were trying to figure out what the 2 players had while being annoied by Phil Gordan

He did it because he knew if God wanted him to win, he would.

He said he called allin a few times in the tournament in terrible spots because he knew God would make him win, if it was his will. etc.

Bit annoying alright but I can understand the religious mania given the life he's had...and he does to a pretty awesome "YEEEEEEEEEEEAAASSSSS" too.

True, that is too his credit.

I'd quite like him if it wasn't for the insane 'son of god' type complex he appears to have.

Can't remember the exaxt point in the event but there was an episode where Kenny Tran is beside Yang and comes accross as a complete dick with some nasty comments to him and then calling for a 5 on the river which came and Yang lost the hand. God aside I think Yang came accross as a nice guy. Just hope nobody ever sits him down and tells him about the various crimes against humanity his "land of opportunity" is responsible for. Might test his faith.

Kenny Tran was a c0ck. I'm glad he went out when he did. Fair play to Yang. just proves again that thw wsop is a crapshoot and the pros will never again win it.

once he got chips he was ultra aggressive which put people to tough decisions..theres always someone who gets lucky at a final table..people tend to forget that there is luck involved and that it determines the outcome quite often..if he didnt play the way he did he wouldnt have won

    a monkey > moneymaker...imo

Kenny Tran is a hero, played some savage poker, if i was him id be twice as arrogant.

Kenny dosn't seem to have a fold button.

Yang was a donkey but the fact that Watkinson could not find a better spot to get his money in was worse. If the russian won his last hand against Yang they'd have been even in chips and the russian would have been a massive favourite.

This final table is a terrible advertisement for poker. Pretty much no skill shown and a lot of lucky outdraws.

I love the attitude people have to the likes of Moneymaker, Gold and Yang. In all three cases they played by far the best final tables in each respective year and fully deserved their victories on the day. If Watkinson had been in Yang's shoes and called with the A9 I fully believe people's attitudes to the play would be VERY different. And Watkinson's move is ****ing horrendous - far, far worse than Yang's call btw.

All these negative comments smack of sour grapes - nothing else. Yang seems to be a very decent man - and I think it is great for the general perception of poker that he won. These are tournaments. The most technically gifted and biggest overall winning poker player does not, and should not win. The person who seizes the day and plays the best final table deserves to win. Yang played a much better game than his opponents. And won. As did Moneymaker. As did Gold. Good luck to them.

Glad I take your advice with a pinch of salt based on this analysis of Yang, Gold and Moneymaker. If this is true I'm a world beater as are many else on this forum

I think Yangs call was probably far worse because I fully believe he called thinking he was likely behind (he said he had done this a number of times thru the tournament because he felt he would win anyway if it was god's will).

I dunno what Watkinson was at, there was no reason for him to be making that move at that time, had he played with Yang in the run up to the final table? Perhaps he had, because I heard (haven't seen yet) that Yang had being playing very tight (though, shortstacked) upto the final table, maybe Watkinson thought was only calling with a small range, either way, it was a crap pointless move at a full final table.

I know the Russian was shortstacked most of the final table, but at one point when 4 handed or 5 handed he got some chips together, I thought he played very weak after that, was expecting him to gear up and he never did.

And what would you have to say about his rediculous calls. There is a massive difference between going all in with j8 than calling with it. (Which is what he did)
