This line doesn't make any sense.

    Otherwise, that's a decent system.
the 8800 gts is a very good card.
The 6750 is an outstanding chip performance/price wise.
The ram/power supply aren't fantastic. Don't expect them to allow you to overclock. However, if that's not a concern for you, then they will do the job just fine.

As prebuilt systems go, it looks like very good value to me.

Cheers for the info guys! I wont be overclocking so don't really care about the ram and P/S.

Sorry about the line INTEL Core 2 Duo E6550 4,66Ghz (2x2,336Ghz) - I just copied it off the site ;)

I'm considering upgrading the processor to E6850 3.0Ghz for €90, is it worth it for the performance increase?

It doesn't matter if you're overclocking or not, a good power supply is critical, and the most important part in any build. If a poor power supply blows, it can destroy some other components, or at worst, destroy your entire system..

Hey TonyM, the other PC800 RAM options are Corsair, Samsung, Kingston. Which would you recommend?

Nope, it isnt. You will be extremely hard pushed to see any difference at all. Keep the cpu and spend the money on a better psu and memory.

Listen to the advice here, especially the PSU advice...most people seem to overlook a decent power supply to save money. Saving money is done with other, less critical components such as hard drives, peripherals, etc. If the CPU is the brains of your system, then the PSU is the heart...and who wants a dodgy ticker that could possibly give you a brain aneurysm in the process!

    8600gt SUCKS!!!..... 8800gt 512mb ftw!
go with 2 gigs of faster ram, ie pc6400 or pc8000 (both with 800mhz)

Seems ok at a basic level, but without having a clue what your intentions are, I would make the following changes:

    1) Better Power Supply
    2) Dedicated Sound Card, a cheap X-Fi would be good.

The 8600GT is indeed a medicore card, but it depends on what you're doing. Normal day to day tasks, encoding, ripping, it'll be more then enough. In fact if you're not gaming you could downgrade to something less powerful like 8500Gt.

If you're gaming, yes, you'd want to look at stepping it up a bit. 8800GT best value for money right now, but if you can't afford to go that high, an old X1950Pro is still much better then 8600GT and around the same price generally. Due to the dismal failure of the 8600GT-GTS/X2600XT cards as mid range solutions, there's a pretty large gap in the market right now for any budget users unfortunately.

Though if its a pre built system that you can't customise the video card, then it's not worth it getting the 8600Gt and swapping it for the Pro.

Also don't forget you'll need 64bit OS to see all that ram...

I only found that out yesterday!! Didnt know that.

Occasional Gaming and Regular 3ds Max/Rendering is what I'll be using it for. Also video editing (After Effects + Premiere). I also need it to be future proof as well. Thats why i chose quad core??? Right decision??
Looking at pre-built PC's at the moment and Ankermann seems to be the best deal.
    Thanks for all the advice.

    Are these 2 different cases?

Also, I'd say get a 500W psu with a reputable brand, rather than the 600W no-name one. I always recommend the corsair 520W.
4GiB of DDR26400 (800 Mhz) RAM would be nice too, if you could afford it.
The 8800GT is gold, stick with it.

    .
Yeah sorry, the first one is the standard and the second is what I'm upgrading to.
