I'm trying to bulk up and have been working with my existing program for around 5 weeks now and I think I'm seeing changes, though admittedly seeing myself in the mirror every day makes it difficult to really tell!!

    Anyway, I'm eating the following;

    7am
Natural yogurt mixed with muesli or mixed seeds/oats/nuts and a glass of OJ
    Whey protein shake with Creatine

    Gym

    9am
Nutrition X RAM, one teaspoon of both Creatine and Glucose mixed in
    Bowl of Flahavan's Hi-8
    Banana

    11am
2 - 3 slices of McCabridges wholemeal bread with jam
    Activia or other similar yogurt

    1pm
Sandwich - usually something with wholemeal bread, turkey/salmon/tuna/chicken/ham/etc and sometimes with a bowl of Avonmore fresh soup

    4:30pm
Snack - Ryvita with ham/turkey/cheese (only when I get hungry after lunch, so maybe once or twice a week)
    Whey protein shake

    8pm
Dinner - Pork/chicken/steak/lamb with all the veg trimmings and a pint of milk.

    I go to the gym every morning - Monday = Chest/Triceps, Tuesday = Legs, Wednesday = sit-ups and jacuzzi :D , Thursday = Back/Biceps, Friday = Shoulders.

Does this look like an ok diet to gain weight? I'm 6'4" and around the 90 kilo mark at present.

What's the total calories for that lot, and how does it break down?

Hmmm, I'm not fully sure to be honest. Let's see......

    7am
    Yogurt with Muesli - 250
    Juice - 100

    9am
    Hi-8 - 250
    RAM - 400

    11am
    Bread - 200
    Yogurt - 120

    1pm
    Sandwich - 500

    4:30pm
    Snack - 300

    8pm
    Dinner - 1000

That totals around 3100 calories. I could add in another 200 - 400 for fruit and the occasional snack so I guess around 3500. I hope that's enough cos I don't think I could physically eat any more food!! :)

If you really do have trouble then try adding in some nuts- you would easily snack on 100g of nuts during the day- and that is around 600kcal, but it is also about 50g of fat, albeit "good fats". 50g of nuts is an easy 300kcal.

I hadn't thought of that. I'm very fond of cashews and macadamia's so I might indulge myself in those next week. Thanks!

Get rid of the avonmore soup, it's full of salt. I used to work for them and was down in Kilkenny and the amount of salt added to that stuff is unreal!!!
