    Hi
I am going for a holiday to India.
I want to take a travel insurance for my safety/security.

I would like to know what is covered and what not in the insurance.

    1) Is delayed flights covered?
    2) If flight is cancelled, will i get a new ticket and accomodation from inurance?
    3) Can i change the flight and will insurance cover the extra charges?
    4) what happens if my laptop is lost during holiday?
    5) what happens if my handycam is lost during holiday?
    6) what happens if my camera is lost during holiday?
    7) what happens if i fall sick during holiday due to food/climate?

please try to answer the above questions and also let me know other covered and not covered things

The simple but not very helpful answer is

    Read the policy !

Most of what you state would be covered by most policys , EXCEPT 3. I can't think that you would ever get a policy to cover that. If you want the abailty to change flights buy a flexible tkt which will of course be more expensive

If you have health insurance with the VHI, I recommend you read their website detailing their cover:
    http://www.vhi.ie/info/travelinsurance/buynow.jsp#summary

Also, one thing to watch out for- if someone in your immediate family has a medical condition and let's say they fall ill when you are away because of that condition and you have to rush back, your travel insurance won't cover that unless you declare the condition when taking out the policy.

What is covered depends on what you pay for so it's impossible to answer you, sorry !
