    Hey,

I am currently working on an idea that i hope to turn into a business. I am at early stages at the moment and really need some formal BA training as I know that will help.
I have searched non stop for a course of this nature to do either online or in Dublin but no joy. If anyone has any ideas I would be really grateful.
I know there is a Diploma in BA run by the NCI but this is very difficult to do considering its only during the day. As this is my own idea I cannot ask for time of work to do it.

Any help would be great or if no course exists, suggested reading.
    Cheers

Theres seems to a lot of different jobs that come under the title of Biz Analyst. What skills are you looking for?

    Hey,

To be honest i was looking at the ISEB Diploma in Business Analysis and it looked really good. Its just that nowhere in Dublin runs it.
The first module would be great

Holders of the ISEB BSD Certificate in Business Analysis Essentials should be able to:

    * Demonstrate an understanding of business strategy and strategic analysis techniques.
    * Act as effective members of a team investigating an organization’s business systems with a view to recommending business improvements.
    * Apply techniques in order to analyse and model business systems.
    * Understand how recommendations for business improvement may be identified.
    * Assist in the production of a rigorous business case covering the development and implementation of business changes.
    * Identify how business requirements may be supported by IT systems.

I would love to do the whole diploma but am interested in the above module. I think it may be run in dublin once this year over 3 days and costs about 1,500, which seems quite expensive.

Basically a splice between UML modeling of Business Systems and core Business skills in relation to this.
