Is it just me or is it kind of scary how realistic this game looks? Just thinking what might be possible with the PS3 in a couple of years when developers are more familiar with it. Or imagine the 8th generation consoles. :eek:

Cars are relatively easy to do. When they're able to have a quiz like this with a game that features people (may never happen, certainly not in this generation), then it would be scary.

Given what Polyphony did with a PS2 though, photo-realism on PS3 isn't too surprising really. I'm still more impressed with Heavenly Sword though, that game does some incredible characters and locations.

That's exactly what I meant, realistic looking people would be very scary.

The pictures don't do GT5 justice though, watching a promo video a couple of months ago I couldn't get over the beautiful backgrounds and the physics, which seemed very realistic. I love me some good physics engines. The lighting too is fantastic, I know most games now will have dynamic lighting systems and aren't just textured, but GT5's dynamic lighting is beautiful.

So, the ones that aren't GT5 are actually shots from Forza 2, right?

Well, if you could see them bouncing off of the scenery like childs toys you'd know the GT series for sure, pity that for all its obsession with being the "Real Driving Simulator", the illusion of reality fails when you bump into something, I'm glad i've got PGR4!
