Hey, Im looking for visas for Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam in a couple of months myself, and I know you can get visas for all these in Bamgkok, in fact they say that Bangkok is the best place in the world to get visas for these countries.. China I reckon would be the same.. Prices are as follows:

    Cambodia (US$20 - 30 days)
Laos (US$30 - 15 days, not much more for 30 day one I think)
    Vietnam (US$80 - 30 days)

Oh and there's a lot of political unrest in Burma now as you obviously know, so may not be great time to go to Burma, also I believe their leader Aung San Suu Kyi has requested a boycott on tourism in Burma, as such a visa of any length may be hard to acquire..

Finally, a question, is there anyplace else in Thailand where one can get these visas, in the South near Krabi preferably..

You'll have no bother picking them up in Travel Agencies or guesthouses - you may pay a small bit extra but that's the norm.
