    Hey Donal,

Aer Lingus use the Airbus A330-200 series aircraft from Dublin to LA.

There are 4 such aircraft in the Aer Lingus fleet, of which 2 have the Personal Seat-back TV's.

So there is a 50% chance you will get one of these aircraft.
    Best of luck!

    Donal,

They alternate the old aircraft with the new aircraft. I've just returned from the LA last week and we were lucky enough to, on both journeys, be travelling on the new aircraft. My partner can't sleep on aircraft and he was in his element with the selection of movies, games and tv shows available on the plane.

I've my fingers crossed that you've got the good plane!!

    thanks folks.

an 11hr flight with my own tv, games etc would be sweet.

I guess I won't find out until I actually board the plane.
